Ashby's

A nice quaint spot in the heart of it all. The food was excellent and service was very friendly.

My twin sister and I discovered Ashby’s while we were in New York for a two-week summer program, and it quickly became our go-to spot. We ate there for lunch almost every day, and one of the staff members started to recognize us and was always so happy to see us. She greeted us with such friendliness and a big smile, which made the experience even better! I was honestly surprised to see some low ratings because my sister and I really enjoyed this place. The sandwiches were so good, and the fact that they came with a free cookie, does it get any better than that? We still talk about Ashby’s and can’t wait to visit again the next time we’re back in the city!!

First time here. The lady was very welcoming. I came out of the cold to get a hot cup of mint. The lady gave me a Cadbury chocolate candy, then the chef accommodated me with their best seller, grilled chicken pesto. I ate only half side of bread, for reducing my carbs. The banana and a cookie were complimentary. Eat your pesto right away so the bread does not get soggy.

Quality service all around. I went in at 2:30 pm. And needed a Sandwich. They were out, but made me a fresh turkey club from scratch. Sooo good! Fair and reasonably priced for FiDi. Good quality ingredients. Clean shop and friendly staff. Will visit again!

Love this place!! The breakfast is so good, always hot and ready and fresh. I also love the bakery items and the fresh green tea iced. So yummy. The staff is friendly too which makes it even more inviting.

The food and service were just okay. I might return here, nothing terrible but nothing amazing either. I will say, their lunch deal with soup and half a sandwich is a pretty good deal, though.

I never write a review but most reviews seem to be pretty old. I love this place! The workers are super nice and quick and they have great soup and sandwiches for a good price. I always go here on my lunch break.

I would say the Blue Note is a good place to see a big name jazz artist that you love.. It is expensive so you must be in love with the music for it to be worth while. I think the room is kind of poorly designed.. about half of the entire place has a bad view of the stage. Really the tables right in front are the only places I would sit... so get there early and wait in the line and be bored for a while.. but You gotta do it if you want a good seat. The food is pretty good here but I would probably only eat here if I didn't have time to eat before the show or was really hungry. Some of the top names in jazz.. but they come at a hefty price..
